      • Form 1 Spotlight


        This programme is geared towards fostering positive behaviors among our Form 1 students as we tackle issues affecting them and focus on honing their talents positively. The programme is divided into two parts. Part one includes presentations based on topics that would empower students, address issues that may be concerning to them as students in a new institution and speak to their overall wellbeing as young man and woman. Part two focuses on showcasing the first from student’s talents individually and collectively.


        Exit Readiness


        Exit Readiness is an annual programme that involve a series of activities meant to prepare our fifth form students for life after high school as we assist them in making worthwhile and informed decisions concerning their future endeavors. The activities are grouped into three phases; phase one focuses on college preparedness for students who wish to pursue tertiary education. Phase two focuses on Work Ethics, resume writing in preparing students to enter into the world of work. The Third phase of the activities are Mock Interviews. The objective of the mock interviews is to help students demonstrate competence in job interview techniques such as professional grooming and attire, and verbal and non-verbal communication.


        Career Day/Month


        Career Month is usually held in the Month of March. During this month the Guidance department embarks on several initiatives for the third form students to expose them to the various careers available in the Turks and Caicos Islands and globally. Such exposure is to help them make informed decisions concerning their future career endeavors. These initiatives include career field trips to cater to those students who are visual and hands-on learners and those specific career areas that are understood better through demonstrations.  The culminating activity for career month is the Career day or Career expo where students are expose to professionals from various career areas from both private sector and government. During this Expo, students are able to interact with the professionals of their choice at the designated career booths to learn more about the career area. Career day is not only designated to third from student, all students in the school are encouraged to attend to gain more knowledge and to get a head start on viewing career choices.


        Work Experience


        This programme is implemented to expose our fifth form students to the world of work and give them a first-hand experience of a productive life after school. This programme also aims to provide students with a measure of adjustment needed for the transition from school to work. It runs for approximately four weeks at the commencement of the third term. During this time, students are under direct supervision of relevant persons within the organization that they are assigned, and they are subject to abide by the expected rules and regulations of the establishment. Work experience is a requirement for graduation for all students in the Alternative Education programme (Form General 2). Students are assessed weekly by their supervisor, the grades from this assessment contributes to a percentage of the student’s final graduation results. 


        `Boys and Girls Day


        This is a gender specific programme held every other year, designed as a school day exclusively for male and female students respectfully. This event is part of our school’s effort to help our students find meaning, significance and direction in their lives, and to empower our young men and women to be strong and to grow up as men and women of honor and solid character.  The focus of the programme varies every year according the needs of the students, however it is customary for the programme to consist of a guest speaker, presenters, group discussion sessions titled “Heart to Heart” and an activity.  Girls day is usually held in October to coincide with International Day of the Girl Child.
